In the top video (high laryngoscope grip), notice the pressure on the teeth. It’s human nature to want to pull the handle back like a lever when it’s held that high. A low grip on the laryngoscope handle (bottom video) not only gives you better control of the laryngoscope blade, but makes it harder to lever the laryngoscope. Instead of levering, you’ll lift the soft tissue to move it out of the way, which is how the laryngoscope was designed to be used. This will help you avoid damaging teeth. That’s good for everyone.
